I am very happy to be showing my work alongside the good company of six other artists. Curated by Or Abramowitz (no relation), I will be showing tabletop still lifes that evoke the multi-layered relationship I had with my Auschwitz-suriviving mother, who lost her entire family there.
My works deal with seeing myself in her mirror, putting myself in her shoes, my desire to share a cup of coffee together, something that never happenned. The layers are descriptive and allegorical, since I use the everyday objects of my world to build these small scenarios.
Besides myself, the other artists include: Linda Adams, Michal Arnheim, Chanah Goldberg, Dudu Gerstein, Reuven Zehavi, and Oded Zaidel, all of whom create and work in Jerusalem.
Please join us in the National Museum for the Archaeology of the Land of Israel, in the Museums complex from June 22 though June 25 during public hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
You can follow on the Jerusalem Municipality Site: Main Event for Exhibition Launch and Festive Opening of Golden Week | Jerusalem Municipality or on Facebook or Instagram. Hope to see you there!
